This position reports to the Bar and Events Manager or designate and is part of the Café & Catering team.
Responsibilities:

Maintain a friendly, positive atmosphere for both guests attending events and staff working events.

Supervise events taking place throughout the Stratford Festival - both at on-site and off-site locations.

Train and lead service team in all event food and drink service capacities.

Coordinate with the Bar and Events Manager to ensure clients requests are executed.

Ordering event supplies and maintaining inventory levels.

Coordinating setup needs of events.

Direct and motivate staff in a positive manner.
Qualifications:

Smart Serve Certified.

At least 2 years' experience in event services for both large and small groups.

At least 2 years' event leadership experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Exceptional organizational skills with proven ability to multi-task.

Proven ability to work in a team environment.
Preference will be given to candidates with previous supervisory experience in the service industry. Candidates are required to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

This Seasonal full time position is located in Stratford, Ontario and will begin as soon as possible. Peak hours align with the Theatre season, but part-time contract work in the off-season is possible.
