Job Summary

The Director, Facility is responsible for managing our large-scale commercial cannabis facility in Atholville, New Brunswick. You will lead overall direction, planning, development and organizing to support the facility leadership to accomplish set goals. The Director, Facility will partner with various internal and external stakeholders in order to follow standard operating procedures (SOP), Good Agricultural and Collection Practices (GACP), Good Production Practices (GPP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversight of facility, including all aspects of cultivation operations
  • Oversee facility leadership (Flower Manager, Propagation Manager, and Support Manager) and administration Manager.
  • Ensure facility leadership are following company policies, procedures and are meeting operating performance targets
  • Interview, hire and train new facility leadership in coordination with Human Resources
  • Conduct personal development and performance management planning for the facility leadership including ongoing proficiency training and smooth onboarding
  • Ensure operations are consistent with Quality and Production, Human Resources, IT, Accounting, Security and Health and Safety operational structure
  • Lead daily meetings with the facility leadership to articulate priorities on a daily/weekly basis; ensuring work plans are designed and executed in conjunction with priorities
  • Develop and implement Operations plans following SOP’s in collaboration with the Quality Assurance team and Lead Operations teams
  • Work with the production team, sales team, and supply chain managers to ensure production planning accurately reflects the demands of all supply agreements in place and is monitored consistently.
  • Manage ongoing operating performance against plans and budgets
  • Enforce and maintain all documentation in accordance with SOP’s, GPP and Good Growing Practices (GGP)
  • Work in collaboration with facility leadership to ensure compliance with Health Canada Standards
  • Work in collaboration with Human Resources to ensure workforce plan is maintained and up to date
  • Assist Facility leadership with investigating deviations, implementing CAPA’s as required
  • Analyze and develop opportunities to increase efficiency, productivity and yield across all processes whilst remaining consistent with all company policies
  • Work with the Finance team to ensure facility financial statements are delivered in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure all internal reporting is performed accurately and submitted on time
  • Other duties as assigned


  • 5+ years’ experience managing a dynamic Facility operation; preferable with a licensed producer, large greenhouse or nursery operation (produce, flowers or ornamental plants); or if you have food and beverage experience, pharmaceutical, or a combination of related education and experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to think strategically and problem solve
  • Must have experience with Hazard Awareness, SOP, GPP, GMP and GGP
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Health Canada (HC) Security Clearance (previous HC Security Clearance is an asset)
  • Strong organizational skills having managed multiple teams and employees
  • Clear accountability, proactive behavior and strong attention to detail
  • Analytical process review and able to prepare and present documentation
  • Expert judgement, discretion and sensitivity to confidential matters

Zenabis is willing to relocate candidates from other provinces. If you are living in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba or Saskatchewan, and you have a strong horticulture or agriculture background, we will consider a relocation package.

Working Hours

Salaried Position - Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm

This position will require after hours or extended hours based on activity
