The Senior Private Banker, Private Banking 1859 reports to the Associate Vice-President, Private Banking 1859.
National Bank offers a comprehensive range of financial services to individuals, corporations and government agencies across Canada, as well as specialized services to a select group of international clients.
Your main challenges:
Offer solutions and advice on all aspects related to wealth management to HNW clients and their families in a territory extending from western Montreal to Ottawa and Gatineau.
Provide financial expertise and the required framework to help current generations grow their wealth for the benefit of future generations and, in many cases, charitable organizations
More specifically, you will be required to:
Identify and develop business opportunities for all Bank products and services and develop the HNW client segment
Build trust-based relationships with clients
Structure complex credit applications
Manage a credit portfolio by rigorously applying the Bank's risk management standards
Guide clients appropriately in achieving their financial objectives
Help the Bank develop its share of wallet and increase its profitability by providing banking solutions to clients based on their profile and goals
Ensure the sustainability of client relationships and the profitability of their portfolio
If necessary, involve appropriate specialists and parties in the relationship to adequately meet client needs
Interpret financial data using sophisticated analysis and submit financing and credit renewal applications
Negotiate terms and conditions for files that meet risk management standards and profitability criteria
Establish ongoing communication and carry out meticulous follow-up with account managers in Commercial Banking and senior investment advisors in Private Banking 1859 in order to identify their needs and provide them with solutions to help maximize business development opportunities with their clients
Provide exemplary customer service and a client-centric experience that's consistent with our nine values of wealth management services
The incumbent must be able to identify the risks inherent to Wealth Management sector activities.
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience or a master's degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience
Mutual fund representative (MFR) designation, an asset
Knowledge of banking products and services in the Personal and Commercial Banking sectors
Outstanding customer service, sales, business development and negotiation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong business relationships
Accessibility, friendliness, proactivity, client-centric attitude, agility and responsibility
Leadership skills and ability to be autonomous, persevere and work in a team
Excellent oral and written communication skills in French
Bilingualism, both spoken and written (French and English)
