The Role

PETRONAS Canada currently has a vacancy for a Construction Coordinator to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. Reporting to the Team Lead, Construction, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the execution of construction to support the dynamic areas of production operations, drilling, completions and facilities. The incumbent must have experience field experience and have the personality and ability to manage various projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Ensures safety and culture are key values
Lead and develop process for pad planning, road design and construction grade plan optimization
Develop project based scope of work documents, estimates and schedules for execution.
Assist/Manage maintenance and compliance of Petronas infrastructure consisting of roads, bridges and mines.
Develop bid proposals and procurement contracts
Provide consultation to internal stakeholders as to project status
Conduct field visits and safety audits of contractors, ensuring regulatory, health and safety and corporate policy/procedure compliance, identifying areas of non-compliance, and escalating issues for resolution
Develop and communicate budget and accruals for construction / road maintenance activities
Identify opportunities to improve services provided, evaluating processes and procedures, monitoring industry best practices and emerging trends and presenting recommendations to improve/streamline operations and reduce costs
Ensure regulatory and industry standards compliance
Field visits to our operations in Northeast B.C. will be required

Required Education, Experience and Skills

5+ years of construction experience. Ideally, some field experience
Education or experience in Drafting/Civil design or Project Management is preferred
Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
Must hold valid field safety tickets: First Aid with BC endorsement, H2S Alive and Ground Disturbance Level 2
Experience with Siteview software would be considered an asset
Northeast BC geographical knowledge would be considered an asset
