Details: Condor Lodge is a Transitional Program supporting up to six (6) co-ed youth ages 12-17, with mental health disorders and complex behaviours, from a strength based/solution focused perspective, in a residential placement in the community. You will be directly involved in teaching, supporting and mentoring youth to develop skills and abilities.

Hours: Friday 11:00pm—Saturday 11:00am and Saturday 11:00pm—Sunday 11:00 am; 24 awake hours per week

In your role you will:

¨ Connect with and develop helping relationships with youth

¨ Support and offer guidance to youth

¨ Supervise youth in the home

¨ Complete documentation

¨ Perform administrative and cleaning duties relating to the operation of the home

¨ Participate in on-going program development

As one of the ideal candidates, you possess:

¨ Partial completion of a Degree/Diploma in Human Services

¨ Six (6) months experience working with youth

¨ Equivalencies may be considered

¨ Standard First Aid—Level C CPR+AED

¨ Police Information Check; including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (within the last 6 months)

¨ Children Services Intervention Record Check (within the last 6 months)

¨ Valid Class 5 drivers license and drivers abstract are not required, however, would be assets

¨ CARE (Children And Residential Experiences) training is an asset

¨ Desire to see youth succeed

Rate of Pay: $19.71—$21.53 per hour; depending on experience and education
