Job Summary:
Responsible for application of electro-deposition coatings E-coat and monitoring of e-coating line to ensure it is running at upmost efficiency at all times.

Knowledge and Skills Education:
Minimum 2 years of paint automotive experience
Knowledge of Chemistry and Chemical analysis by preferably with an Engineering or Science

Educational background

Experience with water and wastewater treatment
Wet lab experience, good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
E-coat process experience preferably in an automotive parts manufacturing environment
Experience related to E-coat Quality Testing i.e., Salt spray, water resistance, grid adhesion,
Experience working with Acids and Chemicals and managing inventory of Chemicals and

paint

Basic E-coat Maintenance experience

Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing daily paint processing support for the manufacturing team by investigating

quality and process concerns through root cause analysis techniques

Provides engineering support to validate and implement new paint materials as required
Produces coated surfaces by determining coating requirements; preparing surfaces; applying

coatings and maintaining the e-coat line

Responsible to maintain safe conditions by following guidelines and procedures for handling and

disposing of hazardous chemicals and waste

Maintains the physical E-Coat line at the highest level consistent with optimum quality and

Production output. To include washer servicing, chemical control, machinery servicing and part

Auditing process

Responsible to maintain good housekeeping on work area and the e-coat line at all time
Ensure the Lab is maintained at world class standards. All documentations and reports are complete on time and up

to date

Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality

and Environmental Management Systems, Human Resources policies and Martinrea Employee

handbook

Contribute to continuous improvement, productivity, quality, customer service, cost reduction and

safety requirements

Conduct lab analyses on chemical baths, such as cleaner, pre-treatment, and coating chemicals, and make adjustments as necessary by using titration process

Working Conditions

80% plant floor, 20% office lab PPE required

Effort Physical Demands

Require communication with employees, peers and management
Lifting and pushing as needed, up to 20 lbs.

Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company.
All employees are prohibited from walking under a suspended hoist, cranes or forklifts.
All employees must follow all LOTO procedures
Comply with all environmental requirements including our recycling program.
