If so, apply now! We are currently seeking a highly motivated Appliance Repair Technician on our team in Guelph, Ontario. This person will be responsible for testing returned / damaged / defective product, performing rework, diagnosing and repairing product. Technicians are also required to perform service repairs, warranty work, as well as other duties as assigned.

Test returned / damaged / defective products
Perform physical / visual inspection of the product
Test product for performance within product specifications
Asses tested product’s sale ability
Complete documentation associated with the product status and inputs into ERP database system
Responsible for the diagnosis and repair of product
Review report pertaining to the unit failure (if applicable)
Diagnose the problem and determine root cause
Determine whether to repair or scrap item
Scrap items in accordance to company policy
Requisition the required parts for repair of the unit from the Parts department
Repair product as required
Responsible for following all company rules and guidelines
Perform all tasks in accordance with the Health and Safety laws and guidelines
Ensure federal and provincial regulations are being adhered to at all times
Electronic/Electrical Technician Diploma or similar
Minimum 5 years’ experience as an appliance technician
Able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Able to work well under pressure
Strong attention to detail
Able to deal with people sensitively and professionally at all times
Expert skills in MS Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Experience utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software; NetSuite is an asset
