WorleyParsonsCord Ltd. Is seeking a Senior Scheduler to work with our growing Project Controls Team.
Please note: This individual may be expected to work in a site based role.
Work as part of the Project Management Team in developing and managing schedule, change management and forecasting aspects of the project timeline.
Support Project Manager in updating the overall project schedule and providing analysis of comparison to the original planned start and finish dates.
Support Project Management Team in developing and updating the Progress & Performance aspects of the project.
Correlate performance with schedule accomplishment.
Support Home Office (Edmonton) Contract Specialists in updating Contract Status (EWO’s).
Be able to “plan” and schedule the work in accordance to current industry and trade practices.
Attends formal training of Cord’s procedures and practices.
Responsible for understanding the complete scope of work, execution plan and the project estimate, including sub contractor’s work.
Responsible for planning the project, including resource plan, procurement / contract “buy-out” plan, logistics plan, etc and completing a Schedule Basis Memorandum.
Responsible for developing the schedule in accordance to industry scheduling standards, specifically logic driven, resource loaded, CPM scheduling techniques and practices.
Responsible for developing and updating schedules for the project in accordance to the WBS and OBS, and in accordance to Cord’s and owner’s requirements.
Set up Progress and Performance measurement requirements / reporting for projects in accordance to the WBS and OBS. Update status accordingly.
Set up schedule reports in a standardized report format as defined by the project requirements (develop, implement and maintain planned versus actual tracking sheets for various line items within project schedule).
Analyse schedules for any anomalies, fluctuations, unusual occurrences or other execution concerns that could impact the projects expected finish.
Provide recommendations for schedule recovery and mitigate schedule impacts with the project team.
Provide “What If” scenario analysis and schedule acceleration techniques to improve upon execution demands and resource allocations.
Provide overall project change management duties and support project forecasting.
Reviews work of site project controls frequently. Gives ongoing feedback.
Review all schedule reports prior to submission to management.
10+ years’ experience in Project Controls, 5+ years’ experience in Scheduling
At least 5-10 years’ experience in capital projects and cost and schedule engineering.
Proficient in development of Primavera (P6) scheduling and reporting.
General knowledge of IT programs used in estimating and project controls.
Computer literate in all Microsoft Office products.
Thorough knowledge of cost and schedule principles in their application to projects.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work under pressure on complex issues across multiple projects.
On site Industrial Construction, Module and Fabrication experience is preferred.
Technical Diploma or Engineering degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
