Cavan Hills Veterinary Services has been providing our clients with a wide range of cutting edge health care services for their pets for nearly 25 years. It is our primary goal to provide our pet patients with the best possible around-the-clock veterinary care. Our hospital is a fun-loving, fast-paced environment that creates a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for not only our patients but also for our staff. Our clientele is constantly growing and we operate a busy hospital with high levels of traffic. We are looking for someone who is passionate, outgoing, able to multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere, and is eager to become part of a team.

The purpose of this position is to serve as receptionist at Cavan Hills Veterinary Services, to perform record keeping duties related to patient care and treatment, and to provide miscellaneous support to the veterinary practice manager and heath care team.


  • Provide friendly, quality care to the patients and clients of Cavan Hills Veterinary Services
  • Receive incoming calls and provide knowledgeable advice concerning the care and treatment of animals
  • Schedule appointments and prepare to receive appointments by retrieving client records and preparing forms in advance of clients' arrival
  • Check clients in - Greet all clients in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner
  • Discharge patients. Review charts of patients being discharged from the clinic for completeness of information, enter charges and set up future reminders in system. Present clients with medications and instructions
  • Collect client fees, make change, process credit card transactions and assist in making count of cash drawer
  • Work well with all employees and ensure that your actions support the hospital, the the doctors and the practice philosophy

  • Knowledge of Avimark is a great asset
