The Marketing department is entrusted with the development and execution of marketing strategy to attract and recruit students locally and nationally, and build and support SAIT’s brand. We continually seek to raise the bar, improve our practices and showcase creativity and innovation. .
Working closely under the Senior Digital Content Strategist and led by the Associate Director, Digital Experience and Development, you will develop and implement strategic initiatives for the institution’s website and enhance the web user experience. You’ll have the ability to connect with members of the institution to establish respectful and trusting relationships in order to deliver a successful outcome as well as contribute to cross-functional initiatives. Additionally you’ll have proven project and time management skills, delivering results under tight deadlines while remaining flexible to shifting priorities.

This is an 18-month maternity leave cover-off position.

Job Description

Develop engaging digital content in support of key recruitment activities and the annual digital content plan.
Work with internal clients to ensure online content is accurate and up-to-date.
Maintain high-level knowledge of internal stakeholder goals and support their website requirements on
Collaborate with cross-functional content teams to scope, resource, schedule and implement digital marketing initiatives, align content, including photography and videography, development and design to ensure optimal usability and discoverability on
Research, measure and analyze web performance to anticipate user needs to inform content development to support inbound marketing strategies.
Ensure content is well-written following established writing style to optimize user experience on
Collaborate with the Digital Experience and Development team to identify opportunities for new web solutions and an improved student user experience.
Initiate online marketing projects from start to finish including gathering and documenting requirements from stakeholders, project management and working with developers to ensure projects are delivered on time, on brand and on budget and meet institutional objectives.
Report on the progress of key initiatives to digital team members and other stakeholders as required.
Provide measurement goals on projects to inform future plans and celebrate success.

Minimum degree or diploma (Communications, Marketing or equivalent).
Minimum three years of experience in strategic web marketing and communication.
Experience in a post-secondary environment (knowledge of audience and programs) is an asset.
Experience writing for the web (online content).
Excellent communication skills, including written, visual and oral.
Advanced editing skills, including content, spelling and grammar.
Basic knowledge of MS Office 365 and Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience with content management systems and application of web components/styles. Technical skills and experience with platforms such as Ingeniux, and Banner are an asset.
Strategic thinker with sound judgment.
Strong and creative problem solver.
Able to multi-task and prioritize projects.
A good understanding of web best practice, including information architecture and web writing style.
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with contributors, designers, developers and a variety of other stakeholders
Able to work within tight deadlines
