We are seeking a qualified individual with experience working on overhead cranes in an industrial setting to provide scheduled and on-call support at our customer sites. Duties include but are not limited to; maintaining and troubleshooting overhead cranes and associated equipment at various customer sites, installation of new equipment, and the annual inspections of overhead crane equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, determine extent of repair required, adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, test repaired equipment for proper performance, clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work as required and service the lifting device accessories and components

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience of electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and repair
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards
  • Ability to provide written and/or electronic reports and verbally communicate with customers
  • Ability to work at heights greater than six feet off of the ground
  • Ability to work varied hours, overtime and/or "on call" as needed
  • This position requires standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, balancing, kneeling and crawling


  • Associate's degree in Industrial/Electrical/Mechanical field, technical diploma or related field, or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience
  • 3 years experience in the crane industry or 5 years working in industrial maintenance.
  • A background of electrical or millwright would be considered an asset
  • Journeyman Electrician with motor control experience, crane experience will be an advantage
  • Experience troubleshooting 3 phase motor control systems

The ideal candidate would have superior customer service skills, have the ability to work under pressure, able to work at heights, have the availability to be a part of an emergency on call rotation, able to work in various industrial environments and with minimal supervision.
