Purpose of the Function
The Business Process Product Manager is responsible for all related market intelligence, business planning and pricing.
They align product life cycle in local and international markets (launch, growth and discontinuation phase-out) working in close collaboration with the Segment Business Owners (SBO), Marketing, Sales and the Project Management Team.
Supports the sales team, Customer Support, Product Managers and SBO’s with pricing support in line with current strategy relating to existing and new products
Responsible for the business processes associated with product lifecycle for the LGS portfolio
Provide market feedback and forecast information to operations and planning departments
Responsible for providing material master data content for the LGS product portfolio
Gain an in-depth knowledge of competition and customer needs and translate this into sales opportunities by suggesting price modification and potentially new products
Produce and maintain market intelligence on competitors for the respective product portfolio
Develop market launch plans in close cooperation with the Product Management team
Build and maintain relationships with peer groups throughout international and local markets, sharing best practice and knowledge
Work closely with other departments (customer support, engineering, finance) and international offices
Working with product marketing, produce & maintain company literature such as instructions, brochures, installation guides, manuals, etc. for the company, websites and the webstore
Update product technical information in conjunction with the Product Managers and Marketing
Travel to occasional trade shows. Other business travel maybe required from time to time
Supports senior management by producing, maintaining & developing business communications
Complete all tasks and deadlines within an agreed time frame agreed with your manager
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams in various departments
Other general & specified duties may be assigned
Extensive experience of global pricing strategy and maintenance
Minimum of five (5) years experience in a similar role
University degree in Business Administration or equivalent
Bilingual (English, French)
Rigorous and disciplined
Great team spirit
Ability to work under pressure
Advanced Excel experience
Experience with ERP systems
