The successful candidate will be responsible for technical and management duties while engaging in multiple engineering projects from inception to completion. This will include preliminary and detail planning and design, tender preparation, construction management and post-construction evaluation. You will provide technical support to staff and other departments and you will provide management support to the Department Manager.
Sound communication and transportation engineering skills coupled with a desire for career advancement are essential for this position.
Supporting completion of Transportation Engineering and Planning projects for both public and private clients.
Highway/road geometric and roadside safety design.
Oversee, direct, review and provide technical input to project team work.
Liaise and coordinate with other professionals and clients.
Management of projects including creating and executing work plans, developing and monitoring budgets, preparing and reviewing plans, reports and other deliverables.
Significant Qualifications include:
A University Degree in Civil Engineering.
Licensed as a professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (P.Eng. with PEO).
Minimum five (5) years of Transportation Engineering experience.
Familiar with OTM Books, TAC/MTO Design Guides, HCM, ITE Manuals, Roadside Design Manual.
Strong computer design skills including working knowledge of InRoads, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office Suite.
Strong Office computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
