The Opportunity

Our Rockyview, AB location is currently looking for Hydro Vac Swampers to join the team. Our Hydro Vac Swampers will assist our Hydro Vac Operators on customer sites and will operate Hydro Vac units to perform daylighting excavation activities associated with pipeline, construction, utility and oil terminal work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Attends daily safety meetings and ensures all tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner;
  • Completing tasks associated with Daylighting excavation, trenching and shoring;
  • Rigging equipment in and out;
  • Maintains and updates driver’s log book;
  • Performs roadside repairs;
  • General clean-up and maintenance of units upon completion of the job.

What does it take to work for Lonestar?

  • Previous Hydro Vac experience is preferred;
  • Minimum Class 5 license, with a clean 5-year drivers abstract;
  • Previous experience in a labour intensive position and working in all types of weather conditions;
  • Safety Certifications preferred (First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, Confined Space, Fall Arrest);
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment.
