This opportunity is calling for you... We require an Industrial Electrician with trade certification. The ideal candidate has worked in a food processing or similar plant environment. Preference will be given to those having FSR certification and experience with PLC and VFD programming.

The ideal candidate will work with the Maintenance Team to inspect, maintain, repair and troubleshoot the electrical and mechanical requirements of the plant to ensure proper preventive maintenance and minimal downtime of equipment.

Salary: $68,000 - $72,000
Hourly wage: $33.19/hr + $1.25/hr night shift premium

Shifts Times:
6am - 2pm/2pm - 10pm/10pm - 6am

Preference will be given to individuals with mechanical aptitude and experience in refrigeration, welding, and plumbing. Possession of or the ability to achieve a 4th class power engineer ticket is a requirement for this position.


Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance of electrical equipment, repair of electrical/mechanical systems

  • Work within a team to provide support for the production line to troubleshoot and repair breakdowns
  • Provide written reports of work required for repairs and upgrades
  • Participate, collaborate and cooperate with millwrights and other trades to speed up repair and maintenance
  • Provide leadership and training for junior technicians
  • Maintain all electrical wiring and switch gears such as to ensure operator safety and machine integrity
  • Wage: $33.19/hr + $1.25/hr night shift premium

You must have:
  • Electrician ticket and minimum of four years of industrial experience and PLC programming certificate/ training, or,
  • Electrical and or electronic training at college or university level and six years of practical experience in food processing plants.
  • Hands on knowledge of packaging machines
  • Good understanding of AC and DC motors
  • Excellent knowledge of VFD, servo motors and servo drives
  • Working knowledge of PLC and computerized machinery
  • Proven ability to work independently and plan priorities
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and also work independently in a proactive manner
  • Understand preventive maintenance concepts and computerized work order systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to provide quality internal customer service
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Ability to work in confined and high spaces
  • This is a 7 day – 24-hour operation. Ability to work all shifts including weekends is an important need
