Intact is looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst who will contribute as a lead member of an Agile team building innovative applications and services.
In this role, you will be the IT Business Analyst, handling end-to-end responsibility as part of a well-established Scrum team / squad. You will be responsible for requirement gathering via workshops and meetings with internal and external business partners, for evaluating information gathered (often from multiple sources), for reconciling conflicts, for decomposing high-level information into details, for abstracting up from low-level information to a general understanding and for distinguishing user requests from the underlying true needs.
An ideal candidate will demonstrate excitement for technology and business. The candidate will be able to handle competing demands on time and manage his/her work to deadlines. They need to be flexible in their role in order to meet the needs of the squad.
The IT Business Analyst is expected to act as lead in discussions and interactions with business users and product squads, in order to help determine the best IT-solutions to business needs.
Here are a few ways you'll make a difference:
Understanding of business needs, assessing the impact of those changes and documenting the requirements to facilitate those changes.
Translate business requirements into a conceptual system design. Works closely with the software engineering squad and architects for the delivery of the IT-solutions.
Understand business processes in order to recommend ways to automate them and their related activities.
Plan, develop and facilitate stakeholder and user community workshops in order to gather more insight needed to optimize the changes and IT process.
Proactively support the squad during the implementation and quality assessment phases by reviewing design documents and ensuring requirements are met; reviewing test strategy, test plans and test cases to ensure requirements are met; supporting QA and testing team; reviewing defects and working with clients to determine the priority of fixes and/or manual workarounds.
Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to assist in implementing new business process solutions
3+ years experience in Business Analysis roles within an Enterprise IT Environment
Being a team player with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
Strong facilitation and coaching skills
Perseverance to keep up with an iterative process that is the development lifecycle
Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues and problems, identify different design alternatives, make and explain choices verbally or using design tools
Highly autonomous, self-starter with experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
Experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence
Excellent oral and written communication skills
