DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of our Transportation team, you will be joining our offices in either North Bay, the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) or Kingston. Living in these locations is preferred, but not required, as MP embraces a flexible work environment. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Collecting and maintaining project documentation;
Attending field reviews with senior staff;
Assisting with the development of preliminary and detailed engineering drawings including plans, profiles, and cross-sections;
Assisting with preparing specifications, contract tender documents, and tender quantities;
Assisting in preparing contract temporary and permanent signing and pavement marking drawings; and
Reviewing reports, recording and preparing meeting minutes.
Basic highway engineering principles gained through education or experience;
Proficient with AutoCAD;
Experience with InRoads/Open Roads would be considered an asset;
Proficient with the Microsoft Suite;
Good oral and written communication skills;
Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and time management; and
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
