Position Summary:
The IT Planning & Project Officer works as part of a team of AV professionals to provide oversight to the elicitation of user requirements, development of technical specifications, installation of new learning spaces, and supports classroom technologies on a daily basis (troubleshooting). The incumbent will be responsible to administer, analyze, supervise, manage or direct the planning and design of new learning spaces and classroom technologies, including infrastructure projects. Ensure compliance with policies, programs and systems in the field of construction, renovations, planning and design.

Undergraduate degree
Three (3) years' related experience
OR
DEC III
Five (5) years' related experience
Other Qualifying Skills and Abilities:
Desired: CERTIFICATION: PMP. Knowledge of McGill FMAS construction standards. Knowledge of McGill FMAS Project management procedures and processes. Good knowledge of the construction industry. Design of IT/Telecommunications Pathway systems. Space, Power and HVAC for TELCO rooms. IT/Telecommunications Design, Administration, Construction and Project Management. Standards: EIA/TIA, ANSI, CNB, BICSI. A skilled communicator, both in writing and speaking, be fluent in English and French. Show an aptitude for clear and concise thinking. Be flexible and able to adapt to change. Be able to work as part of a team. Quality oriented and able to meet deadlines.
