St. Joseph's Hospital Part Time

This position is responsible for the preparation of staff schedules including coordination of coverage for staff call-ins and vacation requests; assists in Workbrain timekeeping entries; and provides reports to Security leadership related to staffing such as sick time and vacation balances. This position additionally will support backfill coverage for the mail and transportation clerks. Transportation duties primarily support the operation of the transportation schedule for Drivers and scheduling maintenance of fleet vehicles. Mail services duties includes processing internal and external mail and parcels for the organization.

Essential Qualifications

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent recognized in the province of Ontario
Community college certificate in Office Administration
Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
General knowledge of payroll processes
Demonstrated computer skills at a basic level, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload in a busy clinical environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
Demonstrated professional and positive attitude toward supporting internal customers
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with frequent interruptions
Preferred Qualifications
Previous recent/related experience preparing staffing schedules
Experience using a staffing/scheduling system (i.e. Peoplesoft Workbrain)

Immunization Requirements
Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
