Role:
With SLR's continued growth, we have an opportunity for a highly motivated senior professional with excellent business development, management, technical, client service and people skills to lead the growth of our Land Quality group in Ottawa. A consulting background in contaminated site assessment, remediation, hydrogeology, hydrology, risk assessment or liability management is preferred as these represent focused areas for future SLR growth.

Responsibilities:
Business Development Collaborate with SLR's leadership to grow and diversify the Ottawa office. Marketing and sales of established and developing technical services to existing and prospective clients.
Operations Management Financial performance, recruitment and retention, coaching, health and safety leadership and project management.
Technical Delivery preparation and review of proposals, technical correspondence, reports, work plans and project specifications. A strong understanding of Federal and Provincial Environmental Regulations and processes.
Communication Motivate staff, collaboration with colleagues in Ottawa and across the firm including senior technical discipline and business sector leaders, and operations managers in a one-team approach

Technical Skills / Abilities / Experience:
Minimum 12 years of experience in environmental consulting with a strong technical background.
Business acumen, development and planning and client/account management experience
Staff management, time management, project planning and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to quality, detail and accuracy.

Education / Qualifications / Memberships:
Degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, hydrogeology or related studies
Professional status with a professional organization (e.g., P.Eng., P.Geo., C.E.T., EP in Ontario additional credentials from other provinces is an asset)
Valid driver's license
