Job Summary

Now, if you were to come on board as our Maintenance Technician - Handyman, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

Work with team members of maintenance workers, cleaners, general laborers, and contractors
The successful candidate will assist the Maintenance Lead in achieving a high standard of workmanship, time management, and customer satisfaction
Inspects buildings and other structures to detect malfunctions and needed repair, making notes and recommendations using a pre‐established check sheet
Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures
Performs minor plumbing maintenance and repairs kitchen cabinets and cupboards
Repairing interior walls; installing drywall for repair or replacement

Experience with Commercial properties an asset
Understanding of blueprints, technical drawings and manuals an asset
1-3 year’s experience in Facilities/Building Maintenance role.
Must be flexible, organized and able to coordinate multiple projects at once.
Ideally have a good working knowledge of electrical systems, carpentry, plumbing, and maintenance.
Occasional evenings and weekend work
