JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall safety, efficiency and quality of the maintenance and operation of all Central City Brewers and Distillers facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations and Maintenance

  • Oversee acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance and disposition of all manufacturing equipment & building systems
  • Manage the maintenance of assets, building structures and permanent interiors
  • Oversee all renovation/upgrade projects
  • Oversee a total maintenance system including predictive, preventative, and reactive maintenance strategies
  • Maintain a diverse team of industrial electricians, programmers, millwrights, apprentices, and power engineers

Planning and Project Management

  • Foster a maintenance culture of continuous improvement
  • Negotiating and developing projects
  • Commissioning, organizing and assessing the work of contractors
  • Working with detailed diagrams, plans and drawings
  • Using ERP and CMMS software and other resources to design the systems required for the projects and overarching maintenance strategy
  • Managing and forecasting spend, using whole life cycle costing techniques, ensuring that work is kept to budget
  • Designing site-specific equipment as required
  • Investigating availability and suitability of options for new premises
  • Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives
  • Ensuring buildings meet health and safety requirements
  • Planning best allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings, or re-organizing current premises
  • Checking that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies
  • Overseeing and supervising the installation of equipment and building systems and specifying maintenance and operating procedures
  • Monitoring building systems and processes
  • Making decisions about expired systems equipment and the appropriate location of new equipment
  • Liaising closely with other professionals, including OEM engineers, structural/mechanical/civil engineers, builders, architects and surveyors, and in-house project teams
  • Attending a range of project group and technical meetings
  • Ensuring that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements
  • Working on a variety of projects within a short period of time.

QUALIFICATIONS/DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Minimum 3 of the following requisite qualifications:
  • Red Seal Millwright
  • Red Seal industrial Electrician
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Field
  • Power Engineering Class 4 or higher
  • MBA or other business qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in F&B or other automated industry is preferred
  • SAP/MS Office/CAD/CMMS
  • Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

The Maintenance Manager would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays. It would also require being on call 24 hours per day.
