We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Analyst to join our team in Aldergrove, B.C.

Reporting to the Manager, Inbound Logistics, the Transportation Analyst will be responsible for the integration of vendors into our inbound freight management programs, maintaining and growing our carrier and vendor relationships as well as negotiating rates and advocating for Supply Chain solutions.

You will be responsible for:

  • Collecting and analyzing data to identify and implement freight management opportunities with inbound vendors.
  • Negotiating freight allowances and costs directly with vendors and carriers.
  • Providing analytical support and research activities to support the Supply Chain teams.
  • Establishing new requirements and programs for vendors, merchandisers and carriers.
  • Maintaining existing inbound programs including carrier and vendor KPIs.
  • Managing and maintaining the Save-On-Foods transportation systems and databases.
  • Supporting daily operations and internal partners including Transportation, Procurement, Warehousing, Merchandising and Finance.

In order to qualify for this role, you will have post-secondary education in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or relevant discipline and a minimum of 3-years direct experience in a Supply Chain environment.

You have:

  • Have a strong knowledge of the transportation markets, services costing and developing trends.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent proficiency of system applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and experience with Supply Chain Management software including OMS, WMS, TMS, Fleet Management.
  • Familiarity with the latest transportation regulations, trends & terminology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with a variety of audiences.
