The Faculty of Medicine trains the next generation of Canada’s leading physicians, scientists and rehabilitation specialists, as one of the world’s top research-intensive medical faculties. More than 900 dedicated staff – on the St. George campus and beyond – support this work under the leadership of the Dean of Medicine across educational units, academic departments, research laboratories and corporate offices.

In the last few years, we have embarked on a robust program to survey faculty, staff and all learner cohorts on a variety of topics including but not limited to education/work satisfaction, wellness, future plans, and diversity, equity and inclusion. As Senior Project Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of a series of inter-related surveys across the faculty to inform strategic planning, and help identify barriers and develop solutions for our community. Your exceptional research, analytical and problem solving skills will enable you to translate complex data into meaningful results and facilitate discussion with diverse stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:
Developing projects and policies of importance that require a rigorous approach and attention to very fine detail
Designing, pre-testing and formatting surveys, interviews and other research data collection tools
Determining qualitative and/or quantitative research methods according to research objectives
Coding quantitative research data and producing complex statistical information
Researching, analyzing and recommending grant opportunities and writing grant applications
Conducting systematic literature reviews and critical appraisal of research literature
Delivering presentations at conferences on research findings
Directing the activities of a single ongoing staff-appointed employee

Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
Master's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
Minimum four years related experience in a research environment, supporting quantitative and qualitative research projects
Knowledge of the Faculty of Medicine and its hospital affiliations
Significant experience in research methodology and design, including extensive experience designing and analyzing surveys
Demonstrated experience leading multiple, concurrent research projects
Experience supporting and advising senior-level committees
Experience identifying grant opportunities and preparing grant applications
Experience directing and supervising staff
Strong technical knowledge and application of MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Demonstrated technical experience using SPSS and Tableau data visualization software
Programming skills in SPSS syntax, VBA, or SQL
Superior communication, interpersonal, leadership and problem solving skills
Strong oral presentation and delivery skills
Highly organized and detail-focused, able to synthesize information in a clear and concise way
Ability to use tact, discretion, maintain confidentiality and sound judgment
Attuned to current social issues related to diversity, equity and inclusion

Pay Scale Group and Hiring Rate: USW Pay Band 16 - $88,643 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $113,359. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
