Position: Delivery Driver

Location: Edmonton

Type of Employment: Full-Time

Hours: Monday - Friday

The Driver is responsible for the delivery and pick up of shipments, ensuring timely unloading/loading of freight, ensuring work procedures are followed. Key responsibilities include scanning all freight, delivering shipments by the committed times and adhering to safety and compliance rules.

What to Expect:

  • Drive vehicle, deliver orders on schedule and in good condition while providing excellent customer service.
  • Ensure truck is loaded correctly using scanner unit and in proper sequence.
  • Unload truck.
  • Ensure help is given to shippers when loading trucks if help is required
  • Notify dispatch of any vehicle breakdowns immediately
  • Complete all required paperwork
  • Ensure that all safety hazards are reported to the safety and compliance manager or dispatcher
  • Ensure trailers are properly inspected and reported if unsafe
  • Complete all required paperwork.
  • Any additional duties as required.

What You Need:

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Class 3 Driver’s license an asset
  • Minimum of 1 year Courier/P&D experience
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Clean driver’s abstract.
  • Knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding areas beneficial.
