The Sr. Manager, Information Security, key responsibility is to ensure secure IT security operations of Telecon’s systems, processes and good understanding of information security risks. You will be responsible for maintaining, evolving, and expanding telecon cyber security program, while positioning the organization to be nimble and ready to respond to the ever-changing security landscape. This individual will also be responsible for directing the strategy, operations of the Information Security Program.

Lead, develop and coach a small team of security analysts
Lead the development, evolution and delivery of the security program
Manage the day-to-day security operational activities such as vulnerability assessment, penetration test, triaging incidents, and manage access to systems
Provide technical knowledge and analysis of information protection, to include applications; operating systems; Internet and Intranet; physical security; networks; risk assessment; privacy, critical infrastructure continuity and contingency planning; security awareness and training.
Review and approve security policies, controls and cyber incident response planning
Review investigations after breaches or incidents, including impact analysis and recommendations for avoiding similar vulnerabilities
Maintain a current understanding the IT threat landscape
Ensure compliance with the changing laws and applicable regulations
Translate that knowledge to identification of risks and actionable plans to protect the business
Manage employees, contractors and vendors involved in IT security
Provide training and mentoring to security team members and colleagues
Constantly update the cyber security strategy to leverage new technology and threat information
Brief the IT and executive teams on status and risks, including taking the role of champion for the overall strategy
Communicate best practices and risks to all parts of the business, outside IT.
Training in IT or related fields
Security and networking certifications (Security+, Cisco CCNA etc.) are an advantage.
Proven cyber security, compliance, audit and risk management related experience in a management position preferable
Relationship building and communication skills to help ensure that new policies and procedures gain the support, they need to be adopted by the organization
Knowledge of Cyber Security and Cloud services (AWS, Azure or GCP)
Understanding of IT compliance and frameworks and regulatory standards (ISO 27001, CoBIT, ITIL, SOX, Trust Principles etc.)
Understanding of corporate security policies and procedures best practices.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Security or related experience
Professional certifications are an asset: CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CRISC.
Experience with security and compliance
Knowledge of Canadian and US privacy practices.
