We currently have a number of opportunities available on our Nursing Resource Team at Hamilton Health Sciences.
The Nursing Resource Team (NRT) operates within the Quality & Performance (Q&P) Portfolio, under the strategic leadership of the Director of Clinical Resource. Clinical Managers provide day-to-day leadership and direction for the team and supporting staff. Clinical Education and Development Clinicians support the educational and developmental needs of the team. The interdisciplinary Nursing Resource Team is a vital partner in meeting staffing needs across a variety of clinical areas on the basis of patient acuity and volume surges. The NRT is composed of clusters of clinical units including medical/surgical, pediatrics, women's health, perioperative, and critical care.
As a member of the Nursing Resource Team, the Registered Nurse will successfully complete a competency based orientation and master/maintain the applicable set of competencies in the clusters to which they will be aligned. The Registered Nurse will provide high quality nursing care to patients and families and will participate in continuing education, identification of future clinical/career goals and complete learning plans to achieve those goals.
Nurses are aligned to clusters, specific sites, and/or programs based on their interest, expertise and learning needs.

This position is temporary until August 2020.
1. Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
2. Current BCLS certification
3. Candidates with experience and interest in Acute Care nursing, preferred
4. Candidates with Critical Care Certificate and ACLS/ATLS or with Certificate in Emergency Nursing and PALS, TNCC, ENPC, preferred
5. Recent experience in ECG interpretations, pressure monitoring, airway management and mechanical ventilators
6. Demonstrated knowledge of the current nursing assessment and management of patients
7. Demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary care and a nursing professional practice model
8. Demonstrated knowledge of the nursing care plan
9. Demonstrated ability to utilize problem-solving and critical-thinking techniques
10. Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
11. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development
12. Ability and willingness to work in different environments
