Your Opportunity:
Alberta Health Services' Connect Care Clinical Operations team is currently looking to add a Project Coordinator (PC II) to its provincial team. Connect Care is a transformative provincial health care program that looks to integrate over 1300 independent systems across Alberta into one platform that will enhance patient quality care as we know it. Reporting to the Manager of the Connect Care Clinical Operations team, the Coordinator II is a working level multi-skilled position that is responsible for executing project related activities for small projects/initiatives and/or portions of larger projects/initiatives to ensure the goals and objectives are accomplished within set parameters and in accordance with established Alberta Health Services’ standards and practices. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in project management and coordination, and stakeholder engagement that will contribute to the success of Connect Care. The Project Coordinator is a temporary 1-year position, with its location negotiable across the province.

As a Coordinator II, you will require advanced or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex projects, procedures, practices or initiatives within a department, program or business unit.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience. A minimum of 3 years in a similar role for a healthcare organization of significant size and scope. A combination of education and experience appropriate to the position. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Working knowledge of project management principles, tools and methodologies. Working knowledge of MS Office suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio and Excel. Understands the key industry issues; uses this knowledge in own work. Expands conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team. Organized. A self-starter. Can work with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to manage calendars, large volumes of information, standard processes. General knowledge of Connect Care functional areas. Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking. Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to sit/stand for extended periods. Ability to tolerate extended computer time. Ability to lift or carry up to 15 pounds. Basic knowledge of project management tools and templates.

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in supporting project management activities preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in working in a virtual team or department preferred. Demonstrated competency in working with cross geography/discipline/purpose built teams preferred. Working knowledge of PPM preferred. Experience with MS Excel, Visio, SharePoint & Tableau preferred. Healthcare system knowledge and experience considered an asset.
