MANAGER CORPORATE PLANNING & ANALYSIS

We are seeking to fill permanent full-time Manager Corporate Planning & Analysis position at our Torbram facility in Brampton. This position reports to the Director Corporate Planning & Analysis and is responsible for supporting companywide planning process, business performance reporting & analyses, and key business projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is accountable for preparing annual budget & periodic forecasts, providing monthly management reporting (Variance analysis, Trends, Risks & Opportunities) and conducting reviews with budget owners. This position works closely with Divisional Management, other Finance functions (Sales Planning, Plant Controllers, Accounting), and Operations & Procurement and has a wide influence over many aspects of the organization.

  • Prepare annual budget and periodic forecasts incorporating past trends and key business insights
  • Produce periodic management reporting to facilitate the understanding of business results and performance against key metrics
  • Provide insightful financial information, analytics and recommendations that are clear & impactful
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly board slides including overview of business performance, trends, waterfall charts and commentary
  • Act as liaison between Finance and other departments for budget and financial management support
  • Identify and implement enhancement opportunities for system functionality, process enhancements, and automation to improve efficiency and the quality of deliverables
  • Identify errors/inconsistencies and working with the Financial Reporting team to ensure accuracy of Financial Statements on a division and entity level view
  • Develop ad-hoc reports and support business projects as needed
  • Performing other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, with a professional finance designation such as CPA or MBA
  • Minimum five years of related experience in management reporting, financial planning and analysis. Successful leadership roles in positions of relevant scope and size
  • Highly developed business and financial acumen with a proven ability to synthesize data from multiple sources & build complex financial models
  • Advanced MS Office Skills (Excel, Powerpoint), proficient in budgeting, BI warehouse and ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Motivated individual with excellent organizational, communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
  • High level of integrity and energy, able to work independently and in a fast paced environment
  • Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods & Manufacturing industry preferred
