ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Based at the Detour Lake Mine site, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join our Supply Chain team reporting to the Supply Chain Superintendent.

The Buyer will be accountable to purchase supplies, equipment, and services in a professional, efficient, timely and cost-effective manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Able to create and change purchase orders.
Excellent understanding and experience with ERP systems (SAP).
Accurate and precise with above average organizational skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and manage time appropriately.
Able to multi-task and take on new roles as and when assigned.
Respond to Key Stakeholders inquiries.
Self-starter and the ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Thorough understanding of purchase order contracts.
Able to operate within deadlines.
Knowledge of materials, products, and the commodity market in area of specialization.
Strong knowledge of industry terms and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Post Secondary education in Business Administration or similar discipline.
Professional certification in Supply Chain or Procurement preferred (PMAC)
