The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States.

Your challenge!

Our mill in Trenton, Ontario, located on the bank of the scenic Trent River, boasts a 92 year history. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be the leader of the multi-skilled maintenance team, upholding the company values and promoting Cascades' philosophy.

Job Responsibilities
Provides coaching and support to the maintenance team in a unionized work environment.
Follows best practices and ensures the efficiency and quality of the mill's maintenance and reliability operations.
Works effectively with the Production team to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities.
Promotes a safe work environment, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.
Facilitates adherance to the annual maintenance budget.

Technical competencies
Post-secondary education in an electrical or mechanical program with a licensed trade designation preferred.
5-7 years of experience working in a supervisory or management capacity with preference given to unionized manufacturing experience.
Experience leading and maintaining preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
Effective leadership, organizational and communication skills.
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Able to multi-task and prioritize in an environment of changing priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, SAP and maintenance management software.
Flexible and able to work overtime and be on-call and must have or establish residence within 30 minutes of our mill.
