ABOUT OUR OPERATION
Agnico Eagle is always looking for new talented team members to join our Nunavut mining operations. We have been operating Meadowbank, our first Low Arctic mine, near Baker Lake for over nine years. The mine produced its three millionth ounce of gold in 2018. 2019 is anticipated to be the last year of the Meadowbank mine production and it is now transitioning to process the satellite deposit Amaruq for August 2019.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Planning General Supervisor, the Reliability Specialist is part of the Maintenance Department and collaborates with other departments of the mine. He/she will perform reliability analysis and make recommendations by cost and consumption, or by lost availability related to production loss and opportunities for the entirety of mine assets. He/she will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Ensure the consistent application of the maintenance processes throughout the AEM organization, especially items impacting fleet availability and costs;
Develop plans to eliminate or reduce losses through root cause analysis;
Lead the implementation of Key Performance Indicators for maintenance processes with the team;
Participate in the budget and the life of mine (LOM) process for better understanding of the cost structure;
Analyze repetitive critical equipment failure and make recommendations on improvement actions;
Provide technical support to production, maintenance, management and technical personnel;
Ensure the safest, most efficient and reliable maintenance performance standards are met;
Test and continuously improve the implementation with the stakeholders;
Direct the integration of maintenance processes with other organizational processes;
Forecast the spare parts inventory.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Mechanical engineering technology degree, bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent;
3 -5 years of experience in the reliability field, in a similar role, either with Mobile or Fixed equipment;
Experience in reengineering or process definition, mapping and measuring existing processes as well as analyzing, modifying, designing, and implementing new processes;
Experience with major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) package, preferably implementation experience as a Reliability Engineer;
Ability to define and lead project-based workshops;
Be comfortable with all models of failure measurement;
Mining experience is an asset;
Experience working in a multicultural environment;
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written). Selected candidates may be required to attain a passing mark on a Speexx English language assessment.
Your Work Schedule:
Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; flights departing from all communities in the Kivalliq region, Mirabel or Val-d’Or, Quebec.
