Overview of Position

The Manager, Investor Services is licensed as a dealing representative. Their primary purpose is to work closely and support the business of an Exempt Market Dealer Representative (EMDR) in the management of the Representative’s book of business. This purpose is achieved by providing effective client service at all times, and executing business development initiatives, subscription, and fund transfers in advance of all project deadlines.

The Manager, Investor Services is responsible for administrative responsibilities that are vital to the investor subscription and funding processes. They are expected to be knowledgeable about the investor subscription process and are a source of information for clients. This position will be working in a collaborative team environment, performing duties that are the backbone of operational achievement.


  • Managing the execution of subscription documents and transactions on behalf of the EMDR
  • Regular client communication regarding an ongoing offering with respect to the Client’s transaction; including all documentation, funding, and post-close activity
  • Maintaining up to date client files and information of the appropriate systems
  • Ensuring suitability of prospective clients – as investors as well as per transaction, with consideration to regulatory guidelines
  • Ensuring funding deadlines for all Client subscriptions
  • Ensure a high level of client service by:
  • Manage Client communication regarding details of offering logistics (deadlines, next steps, etc.)
  • Regular reporting to EMDR of Client status within an offering
  • Preparing and presenting investor documentation to EMDR for review (e.g. subscription and compliance documents)
  • Presenting investor documentation to the Client, ensuring information is received and understood
  • Adhering to all firm and regulatory policies by remaining up to date with all regulatory rules and activities as it relates to a client’s transactions and ensuring that any client interaction is accurately documented
  • Providing recommendations for improvement to business processes
  • Responding to client inquiries in a timely, responsive manner by:
  • Resolving issues and effecting client transactions expeditiously and accurately, escalating issues to EMDR and VP, Client and Investor Services when appropriate
  • Issuing instructions for client deposits, transfers according to Client or EMDR’s instructions
  • Reviewing processes to improve administrative efficiencies


  • 2 years Financial Services Experience, in a client facing capacity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of office administration duties, and back office procedures
  • Strong attitude towards teamwork
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work non-traditional hours when required
  • Experience with Sales Force is an asset, but not mandatory
