Position Summary

Interior Health is seeking the services of Clerk of Works for the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital Emergency Department Redevelopment and Electrical Upgrade 6318053, in Trail, B.C. This is a term position which will run approximately 15 months. There may be opportunity to extend services for further redevelopment work at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital for an additional term of 24 to 36 months

The Clerk of Works will provide services under the direction of the Project Manager. Detailed services required are outlined in the Clerk of Works Duties document to be provided to the successful proponent.

Qualifications

The successful applicant must meet the following requirements:

 Have extensive experience in all aspects of the provision of Clerk of Works services
 Preferably have experience with projects in a working health care environment
 Have a thorough knowledge of construction methods and techniques
 Be able to read and fully understand construction documentation in all disciplines
 Be able to understand and be fully conversant with construction contracts
 Be able to liaise with building contractors, sub trades and health care user groups
 Must be well versed in the use of Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word and Excel
 Must have a valid drivers licence
 Individual is required to provide their own office equipment such as but not limited to telephone, computer system, printer, fax machine and related supplies.
 Individual is required to have a cellular telephone, as well as a digital camera.
 Reimbursement of approved expenses will be according to the Interior Health Guidelines for Reimbursement. A copy will be provided to the successful individual.
