We’re looking for a new Content Marketing Specialist to join us during an exciting phase in our growth.

Content Marketing Specialist:
In this role, you’ll help execute a revenue-oriented marketing strategy and generate compelling content that drives higher engagement with our customers. You’ll be a steward of our brand and ensure our voice is consistent across all channels. Your time will mainly be spent on developing content by working closely with subject matter experts, planning and researching, and looking to the future to curate appropriate content.

Practically speaking, you will:
Consult with the Demand Generation Manager to define and develop a comprehensive content strategy
Maintain the editorial calendar for Marketing, recommend the appropriate content mix, media and distribution channel for all content (e.g., blogs, infographics, case studies, videos, eBooks, guides, websites, webinars and sales tools)
Collaborate with the Product Management team, internal subject matter experts, external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant and search-optimized content that meets the needs of marketing, sales, customers and prospects
Build, maintain and produce a search and conversion-optimized website and report on content effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement
Support the execution of an integrated social media, influencer and media relations strategy that maximizes stakeholder engagement and demand generation
Provide support for video, web, and graphic production, and manage in-house and freelance team members (e.g., writers, graphic designers, agencies, video producers, etc.) web developers and agencies.

We’ll look to you to keep up with the latest marketing trends and share your knowledge, as well as successfully map out the editorial calendar for three months. You’ll also develop an understanding of our target market and product value proposition.

You’ll be an excellent fit for this role if you have an eagle eye for detail when editing copy, and a knack for maintaining consistency in style and tone across content. You’ll also succeed if you have an eye for design, the ability to share constructive feedback with the team, and the ability to work collaboratively with others across teams and departments.

Post-secondary degree or diploma in English, journalism, public relations, communications, social sciences or a related field
3+ years of content creation and management experience
Experience working as a managing editor for a media outlet, professional services company, or corporate brand where freelance creatives were employed
Demonstrated success producing content that has grown audiences over digital channels
Fluency with the Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with WordPress or a similar CMS platform
Online marketing expertise, including experience with SEO, social media, direct marketing, paid marketing, etc. (an asset)
Experience with Google Analytics or other Web analytics tools (an asset)

As with many businesses, our office is currently closed. However, when we are sharing our space together, we do enjoy organic fruit delivery, on-site gym and showers, a $5 per day stipend to cycle to work, and paid time off to volunteer at an organization whose mission makes your heart soar.

Our regular core working days are Monday-Friday. We love our office (can’t wait to get back there in some capacity or another!) with it’s open-concept workspace, indoor trees, skylights, and whiteboard walls for impromptu brainstorming. We’re a five-minute walk from the Kipling subway & GO station and provide free parking.
