As a Lab Manager, you will work as part of a pre-clinical biology research team that is responsible for the discovery, production, development, validation, and advancement of the next generation of radiotherapeutics and nuclear imaging probes. The specific focus of the position will be to support of a broad range of preclinical development activities. This position is located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Responsibilities and job tasks will include:
Acting as Manager of the Fusion facility and a liaison with the McMaster University facility:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Fusion facility including records and health monitoring
Create and maintain written procedures associated with facility operations
Inventory and maintain the stock of facility supplies and related equipment
Order supplies and equipment (clean and dirty) between facilities
Manage disposal of facility waste, oversee equipment maintenance and organize upkeep of the Fusion facility
Assist in the performance of experimental procedures as necessary

As part of the Fusion Biology Team:
Inventory and maintain general laboratory supplies (including SDS library)
Organize equipment maintenance
Create and maintain written procedures associated with general laboratory operations as required
Oversee general laboratory organization and maintenance duties; organize and delegate or perform tasks

Qualifications

Recognized post-secondary education in the health sciences
RLAT with >10 years of experience in laboratory operations
Highly organized with proven ability to work independently with strong communication skills, including proficiency in the English language
Excel working in a collaborative environment as a member of a multidisciplinary team
