Position Summary:
Reporting into Director, Customer Supply Chain, the Demand Planner is responsible for forecasting for the Janes Family Foods and Santa Maria Foods portfolios totaling greater than 400 SKU’s.

Key Accountabilities:
Working closely with Sales to maintain demand forecasts for the business by taking into account historical sales trends, factors that would influence future growth or decline such as new or lost listings / SKU’s, and customer features (through the PRF process).
Meet with key account managers to maintain effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
Maintain demand plan to ensure cost effectiveness and to meet customer demands.
Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
Analyze and propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
Provide support in developing seasonal demand forecasts
Provide weekly forecast released to Production Planners, ensuring gaps are identified
Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans.
Support the Director, Customer Supply Chain any analytical duties and provide vacation coverage for key responsibilities.

University degree in an analytical discipline preferred – Math, Engineering or Business
2 years of supply chain or demand planning experience an asset
Demand Planning experience in a fast paced industry an asset
APICS or other forecasting Certification an asset
Advanced Excel skills (including macros) a necessity; experience with Demand Planning software an asset (for future use)
Strong analytical, organizational and decision making skills.
