With a “Can Do” attitude and a “Passion for Excellence”, the Food Services Manager / Supervisor will oversee and manage the food production for this location.
Day to day shift management. The goal is for the service manager to be familiar with all day parts. Primary responsibilities include being a guest first role model, being on the floor at peak times, ensuring appropriate service levels at all times including should periods, assisting where necessary, working with staff to improve their skills and ensuring marketing and sales opportunities are maximized.
Position will service Leisure concessions and Bar/ Lounge (Curling Rink and Sports Park, Hockey Arenas) Baseball Sport Complex concession
Provide support to FS Manager and management team
Developing and participating in a positive working environment and maintaining open communication between management and staff.
Ensuring all standards and policies are followed, including those related to safety, food preparation or finishing, timing and cleanliness.
Staying current with operations review and guest service
Ensure the unit has strict compliance of the Compass Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program as well as Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS regulations.
Ensure Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards are followed in the food preparation process.
Financial responsibility, payroll, alcohol service, recruitment, Health and Safety audits.
Ensuring full compliance of companies cash handling banking policies and standards
Experience with cash handling for large events

A Great Attitude!
Must have 5 years food and beverage experience
Proven financial management skills including ability to control product and labour costs on a weekly basis
Must be well organized and have catering/event experience
Strong managerial / supervisory skills and capable to motivate, lead and develop staff
Superior customer service skills
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Advanced Food Service Training (AFST) is a must or will complete AFST within 90 days of hire
Experience in managing large teams
Strong motivator, mentor and leader
Very detail oriented individual and a strong team player
Good client relationship skills
Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office in Outlook, Word and Excel
