The Position

The Manager IT Security will partner with peers in other departments to promote and implement security and overall compliance initiatives. The incumbent will also support the overall Enterprise Risk management program by ensuring that security and compliance risks are mitigated to an acceptable level and is responsible for protecting data from compromise. Working within policies and established guidelines, the incumbent would be responsible for analyzing, developing, implementing and enforcing security, privacy and data protection requirements, policies and corporate technical guidelines. The incumbent will work with cross functional groups to ensure compliance with Gaming Standards and Gateway requirements as part of business operational execution across multiple sites and lines of businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and lead a high-performance team of Information Security Professionals by providing technical leadership
Initiates, facilitates, and promotes activities to increase the level of information protection awareness within the company
Sponsor security related initiatives and implement process and methods to raise the maturity of Security governance and execution within the company while improving the security of information assets
Provide ongoing evaluation of security measures, reporting findings to security management, identifying any vulnerabilities, and make recommendations to reduce exposure
Ensure systems and client programs are designed in accordance with data protection policies and guidelines
Investigate and manage security related incidents and conduct Threat Risk Assessments
Manage and participates in the design, planning and implementation of security for all IT and business projects
Participate in security and/or Business Continuity audits, reviews, certifications, and inquiries with internal and external clients
Liaise between the Compliance team, Operations team, and Gaming Regulators to ensure compliance with OLG/AGCO/GPEB/BCLC and AGLC needs.
Monitor information system activities for security events and record such events
Participate in security auditing and compliance audit in support of overall corporate compliance needs
Work with system owners through the management, process and mitigation of vulnerabilities including implementing system-hardening guidelines
Maintain documentation on information protection practices, policies and procedures.
Facilitate implementation of data protection technologies
Ensure functionality and maintenance of physical security controls, redundant power and environment detection systems.
Review new business opportunities to ensure proper privacy/security/business continuity requirements are appropriate, and adequately captured.
Review and approve change control requests.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal telemarketing compliance laws.
Provide primary support and ongoing administration of the modular and integrated Bally’s Gaming Management Platform
Take the lead on major security incident resolution and communication; point of escalation for Cyber Security related issues
Ensure all SOP documentation is up-to-date. Accountable for the accuracy of Security Technology configuration items and documentation relating to the Application or System services
Other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Information Technology Security

What You’ll Require

Bachelors Degree in Technology, Science or Engineering
A proven track record of successful project implementation in a software and technology implementation environment
5 to 7 Years of Project Support Experience, Casino experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of Gaming and Entertainment Industry preferred
Knowledge of Bally’s Gaming Management System (GMS) V15
Experience of the entire project life cycle from initial conceptual design to project deliverable
Some travel maybe required and flexible in working outside of core business hours on short notice
5+ years experience in managing and leading a team of IT / Cyber Security Support or Management.
10+ years’ experience in a hands-on role supporting implementing and supporting Cyber Security initiatives with focus on business application systems
Experience in DR runbook and execution in a mission-critical high availability environment.
Experience in Middleware management
Experience in providing services to agreed SLAs and OLAs
The ability to obtain registration as a Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
