The position of Senior Manager, Quebec Regional Plan is essential to the implementation and success of Quebec’s regional strategy. The incumbent will be an active member of the Regional Executive Team (RET) and, in conjunction with the RET, will drive, lead and own the implementation of the regional plan in Quebec, while working in partnership with the other regions. As part of his/her mandate, this person will collaborate with a number of internal and external stakeholders (RET, key external partners such as chambers of commerce, the media, influencers, universities, and interacts with key RET members and senior executives). In addition, the incumbent will work as part of team with the various local teams to support implementation of the plan: corporate communications, human resources, branding activities, sponsorships, community social responsibilities, execution of retail activities, and marketing for Rogers for Business.

Key responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the delivery of the Quebec regional plan:

Coordinate the implementation of the regional plan in cooperation with each business unit.
Prepare the various presentations for the local and national executive team.
Organize and run the monthly RET meetings, which includes preparing the agenda, gathering content from the RET members, developing presentations, and following up on action items.
Create internal and external brand positioning opportunities and events.
Act as the primary point of contact for the region with respect to plan implementation.
Build a network and strong relationships with the senior leaders and contributors in each region.
Successfully implement the plan’s strategy and ensure implementation and monitoring of the associated activities.

Support the internal and external communication strategy by working in partnership with the local communication team in order to:

Support, influence and be involved in content creation, which includes developing contests and awards ceremonies, highlighting career opportunities and promotions, showcasing award recipients, and communicating upcoming events via the appropriate media in order to deliver on Rogers’ desire to become an employer of choice and win the hearts of Quebeckers.
Encourage membership, viewing, activities and involvement through the social media platforms.
Be involved in developing methods for measuring and analyzing the impact of the communications and initiatives.
Manage the delivery of engagement activities and events and link them with our existing sponsorship partnerships to the extent possible.
Assist in organizing senior executives’ visits and agendas to include the regional departments.

Performance management and measures of success:
Identify the other regions’ best practices and adapt them locally.
Update and analyze the regional scorecards and provide regular updates to the RET on market trends.
Adjust the plan accordingly in order to implement strategies that ensure continued success.
Manage the regional budget.
Evaluate the performance of the main drivers for implementing the plan (e.g. brand positioning activities, retail performance, traffic in the stores, etc.).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business (preferably commerce, marketing or branding)
Over 10 years of progressive experience in a similar position
Bilingual
In-depth knowledge of the telecommunication industry, the competition and the market
Thorough understanding of all business lines and strategic plans, as well as how to lead an integrated business model (e.g. understand country-wide regional plans, the General Public group, the Media group, Rogers For Business, front-line services, HR, corporate communications, CSR, network, sponsorships, etc.)
Business acumen
Strong experience in project management
Proven organizational, planning, analysis, critical thinking, and leadership skills
Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
Strong sense of initiative, able to work well independently and as part of a team
Able to influence without having to assert authority
Strong negotiation skills
Experience in managing budgets and in developing and maintaining key performance indicators and dashboards
Able to navigate and collaborate within a matrix organization and build relationships at all levels
Advanced skills with PowerPoint and in creating presentations
Advanced skills with Excel and in managing social media.
