The Deckhand is responsible for the general upkeep of the club property and grounds, including general yard work and maintenance of the property and upkeep of the dock system. The successful candidate will be required to work some evenings and weekends, and will be responsible for opening or closing club buildings, sanitizing bathrooms and high touch surfaces (as per our COVID operational plan) and will be generally available to assist members as needed with club facilities including operating our pump-out station and fuel dock.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in an outdoor environment in and around boats and water vehicles. Ideally, this person will have previous boating experience and a strong work ethic.
The Deckhand must conduct themselves within the Club Code of Conduct and must be a good ambassador to the community and to visiting boaters. The ideal candidate would carry a pleasure craft operators card and would also have their Marine Radio Operators certificate.
The Deckhand must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
