Temporary – Full time position (Contract)
As Consultant, Data Management, you will report directly to the Senior Manager, Human Resources. As a consultant, your mandate will be to advise and support the development, integration and operation of data management tools. In addition, this position provides metrics, analytics and insights to support the successful execution of client & strategies. In this role, you will have an important role in assisting management in developing and implementing solutions through culture, processes and best practices while ensuring compliance of all internal policies and Federal/Provincial laws.
It is important that the successful candidate be able to:
Develop and deliver data management solutions supporting BCE Retail’s workforce
Manage data integrity as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality
Conduct data cleaning to improve quality, unused or duplicate data with a goal of providing the business with the ability to better access data for reporting, finance and operational functions
Proactively assess instances of data quality issues and help to resolve problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction
Support initiatives by consolidating data, summarizing results and key trends, updating materials and preparing reports and presentations
This role is responsible for ensuring the data is accurate and for translating it in a clear, concise and business relevant manner to key stakeholders
Analyze, identify and prepare the required metrics and reports to support decisions
Partner with internal business partners to explore business requirements while providing recommendations
Develop, organize, lead and ensure timely & accurate completion of projects
Proactively manage risks, and systematically resolve or escalate issues
Expert knowledge of: Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word
Post secondary education (preferably in Data Science or Data Management)
Experience working in a Retail environment is an Asset
Experience working with HR systems, primarily SAP & ADP
Expert knowledge of the Project Management practices and disciplines
Strong ability to communicate (orally & written) as well as during presentations
Ability to influence others, including skills in negotiation and conflict resolution
Demonstrated strong business acumen
Analysis, summarizing and solution recommendation
Excellent ability to prioritize, capacity to work under pressure and capacity to adapt to constant interruptions and priority changes
Strong analytics (root cause analysis) when dealing with processes and recommendations
Curious – asks questions to enhance practices & drive performance through data analysis
Ability to compile complex information, gathered from multiple sources, and present in an easy-to-understand format
Self-motivated, customer focused professional who has solid organizations skills and can manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
