What is the opportunity?

This is a part-time and shift oriented position with a leading financial institution, which will provide you the opportunity to champion the RBC brand while providing support to our clients as they interact with us in different ways. Please note: Candidates will be required to work Monday to Friday from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM EST, 20-25 hours per week.
What will you do?
Respond to clients’ needs and proactively engage with them to deliver an outstanding customer service experience, making every client interaction an exceptional one by demonstrating quick thinking and creative problem solving.
Provide advice to assist clients with their everyday banking products and services needs through the use of digital tools and resources.
Contribute to team results by supporting all colleagues to be successful in meeting client needs
Focus on helping clients when they need us most, by responding empathetically to a variety of questions, assisting with banking solutions and resolving client concerns at first point of contact
Cultivate and maintain relationships with RBC partners, referring more complex opportunities to colleagues or providing advice to clients, where your expertise will contribute to creating meaningful experiences that drive client satisfaction and loyalty.
Manage risks by adhering to compliance routines, processes, and controls to protect client and shareholder interests
Educate and assist clients with using RBC digital capabilities
What do you need to succeed?
Strong desire to build exceptional client experiences, and is passionate and curious to help clients meet their needs and solve their concerns
Exceptional client service capability and confidence in engaging clients across multiple channels (i.e. phone, video, chat, email etc.) using a friendly, positive and professional tone
Proven ability in building rapport and maintaining client relationships, preferably in the financial or service industry while working independently and as part of a team
Superior emotional intelligence with strong problem-solving, entrepreneurial attitude, adaptable, eagerness to learn and has strong personal ethics and a hunger for success
Strong digital literacy across a broad range of digital devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets, laptops, mobile applications etc.) and have the ability to learn new technology very quickly
Strong English oral and written communication skills
Previous experience working in a Contact/Call Centre or in a fast paced financial and/or service industry
Past experience in a customer service role where you provided a variety of needs based solutions
Experience working in a high performing team where working together to succeed and client focused behaviours are valued
