What will you do?

Siemens is currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator for Trench Limited (a Siemens company). The Trench group is a specialized manufacturer of high voltage equipment dedicated to serving the worldwide electrical industry, in both utility and industrial markets, through engineering, service and commitment.

Act as the interface to external logistics / transport providers on project site and coordinate their activities, ensuring cost efficient and flawless operations

Calculate and implement of logistics / transport contingency measures from the planned supply concept to optimize supply and costs

Coordinate, communicate and maintain all dates and information from project site to ensure an accurate, on schedule and efficient processing and optimized supply regarding customer needs

Ensure information regarding disposition of goods during transport and permanently update of this information to build options for alternative actions by information of all involved parties in a timely manner

Document and process complaints or transport damages with responsible partners (Project Logistics Manager, Project Purchase, Insurance) to secure any recourse claims and to take further measures

Make decisions on SC / Logistics, unit organization, unit related budgets and decide resource allocation

Prepare the custom clearance documentation and interact with Canadian customs controls

Interact with Corporate for process improvement, cost savings initiatives and best practices knowledge sharing

What will you need to succeed?

Minimum 3 years’ experience in implementation of Traffic / Logistics standards (regulations and guidelines).

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the job field with proven formal or informal leadership

Advanced knowledge of customs and clearance documentation.

Advanced knowledge SAP

Strong financial and analytical capabilities with experience monitoring freight budgets vs. freight costs

Proficient skills in Microsoft Office with advanced MS Excel skills

Bachelor’s degree in management, business, operations or related field is preferred

Interactions with internal customers (ability to work with multiple level partners)

Focus on results

Excellent time-management skills

Strong communication and negotiation skills
