3M is seeking a Sales Representative for its Medical Solutions Division team, located in Mississauga, ON. The successful candidate will make an impact by leading and developing value-based initiatives within the territory, implementing key platforms for various healthcare providers, with a primary focus on Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) and Advanced Wound Dressings (AWD) products in the hospital, acute, homecare, and long-term care settings. If you have the capacity to learn, and are a seasoned sales representative, knowledge in the medical solutions space is an asset, but not required. The territory spans MH and Central LHINs:
Central LHIN covers northern Toronto, parts of Etobicoke, most of York Region, and South Simcoe County.
MH LHIN covers Halton Hills, Milton, Oakville, North West Mississauga, South West Mississauga, East Mississauga and South Etobicoke.
Meet and exceed assigned quota and sales objectives for assigned territory
Maintain relationships with key customer end-users including physicians and clinicians
Drive and manage the usage of consignment units, customer own units, and positions Service Protections Options
Coordinate and run Train the Trainer programs and various educational events in collaboration with Clinical Therapies Specialists, Marketing, and other sales team members as the business requires. In-service accounts by demonstrating products and applications use
Manage customer requests and/or issues related to billing, VAC losses, etc.
Promote greater emphasis on distance education in territories with large and/or remote geographies using various online learning tools
Manage the transition of patients from acute to post-acute care
Effectively support contract implementation including key GPO awards
Maintain data entry and utilize salesforce.com to assist UIU analysis, YTD tracking, Capital sales opportunity funnel, complaint management, and various other reports in developing a territory plan to prioritize account calls and activities
Coordinate, manage, and participate in all local /regional conferences, tradeshows, wound care days as well as national as assigned
Participate in On-Call Duties periodically throughout year
Post-Secondary education or related work experience
Excellent presentation skills and ability to engage audiences
Strong self-motivation, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills
Able to understand changing customer needs with the ability to pivot accordingly
Strong selling and concept selling skills
Able to draw meaningful insights based on competitive dynamics, customer needs/behaviours, category performance, and characteristics
University degree (Life Sciences, Business or related major preferred)
Advanced Wound Care experience preferred and familiarity and comfort with healthcare settings a strong asset
2+ years of sales experience in a consultative manner, with a proven ability to develop solutions that address customer needs
Demonstrated exposure to vertical and key account management
Travel: In this role, you will be required to travel approximately 50% of the time, which may involve overnight stays. A valid driver’s license is required.
