POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, Labour Relations and Health & Safety, the Senior Consultant, Human Resources will be responsible for reviewing and keeping up to date with all the legislative landscape that may have impacts on the various groups of employees within Bell Technical Solutions and the Bell family of companies. The candidate will have to ensure that the various business units are up to date with all the latest legal developments and have the proper processes to implement them. To succeed in this role, the candidate must be very good at analysing various documents and understanding the potential business impacts for various groups.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the proper follow up, documentation and organization of up-coming legislative changes
Engage as a strategic collaborator with stakeholders to ensure adequate preparation and process changes to prepare for new legislation impacts
Build material and present up coming legislative changes to various business leaders
Assist various business units in understanding financial and workforce impact of new legislation
Partner in the development and deployment of HR policy/program implementation compliant with various legislations
Assist with labour relations matters

COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

University degree in Administration, Law, Human Resources or related matter
Must have strong analytical and leadership skills focused on results and teamwork
Excellent drafting skills
Strong attention to details ability
Experience in leading projects and process improvement implementation
Business acumen and strategic focus
High degree of proficiency in all MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Strong planning and organization skills
Excellent communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

Provincial Head Office and Work Centre Environment
Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with some evening and weekend work as required
Travel within Ontario and Quebec is required

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
