Position: Process Specialist - Full Time Exempt level position
Candiac, QC, Canada
The ADM Candiac Facility is seeking a Process Specialist to help manage and improve the plant processes. The candidate will collaborate with 4 supervisors and over 50 hourly colleagues in production.

Responsibilities:
Candidate will work in the plant environment and is expected to initiate work based on general instructions from management. The physical requirements of the job requires ability to climb stairs, work in hot environment, prolonged periods of standing and sitting, computer work, meeting deadlines, providing calculated information, project management, and budgeting.
He will manage pressure vessels across the plant including boilers, water cooling towers and other plant utility services to maintain the Candiac facility compliant with existing provincial regulations.
He will technically support the overall waste water treatment plant as well as the biogas scrubbing and cleaning process from the anaerobic digester in order to maintain compliance with applicable environmental regulations from municipal and provincial authorities as well as complying with ADM standards.
He will work jointly to manage the ADM Environment Management System (EMS) along with the Candiac facility EHS Coordinator to maintain the location operations in compliance with applicable environmental regulations.
He will write up and submit projects and capex requests, manage capital expenditures for the facility and execute the process improvement priorities designated by ADM Centers of Excellence leadership. He will coordinate the improvement process and facilitate communications between ADM technical leaders from different Centers of Excellence in order to meet process improvements and efficiencies expectations.

Experience & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Food/Ag Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
Must be eligible to become a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec and submit his application to obtain his Engineer permit in the province of Québec.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in plant operations/project work, food processing, starch processing or flour milling experience preferred.
Demonstrated participation and leadership in plant safety programs (VBS) and process hazard analysis.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage budgets, schedules, and other resources.
Excellent communication skills - both oral and detailed written are needed to be effective in this position.
Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively interact with multiple employees, management personnel and other stakeholders.
The candidate must be able to utilize independent judgment to solve problems, have excellent organizational skills to effectively handle multiple ongoing tasks and strive for continuous improvement.
