Role Description
The QA & Test Lead will prioritize and schedule testing activities. Ensure test cases have been developed and executed for all requirements and report defects, define severity and priority for each defect. Ensure regression testing is executed when changes are made to fix defects.

Please note: This position is tentatively scheduled for Monday to Friday, daytime hours.

To be successful in this role, you will exceptionally complete the following (not an exhaustive list of responsibilities):

  • Participate in creation of Testing deliverables such as Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases, Traceability Matrix, and UAT Exit Report
  • Review and provide timely feedback on Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases, Traceability Matrix, and UAT Exit Report
  • Responsible to ensure the execution of the Test Cases
  • Log any defects and ensure their re-tests are executed
  • Validate the weekly execution reports before it is presented to Project Manager
  • Participate in activities such as Defect management, Test Scenario planning, Test Case writing, test execution and exit reports to maintain conformance to Business Requirements Document
  • Provide guidance, decisions, and support to the testing activities
  • Oversee and support UAT and training for key stakeholders as necessary
  • Support data preparation to aid in test cycles

To be qualified for this role, please ensure your resume clearly displays some or all of the following:
Education and Training

  • Minimum of secondary education, with preference of post-secondary education in IT, or a combination of education and experience

Experience

  • Previous Transportation or operational experience is preferred, various roles within transportation would be beneficial
  • ETL and BI experience would be considered an asset

Skills and Attributes

  • DevOps and Agile Methodology, collaborative and iterative working model
  • Accessibility and usability testing, familiar with WCAG guidelines
  • Testing tools and techniques, test management tools, GUI testing tools, and automation tools

The working environment can include extended time sitting at a desk and working with a computer and on the phone.
