Outside Commercial Equipment Sales Representative

MI Petro Construction & Supply Inc. is a leading distributor of petroleum products for for Gilbarco, Veeder-Root, Gasboy, Red Jacket and Catlow. With its Construction, Electrical, and Service division, it is recognized as a sole source supplier of petroleum solutions.

MI Petro prides itself as a company that can get the job done for small to large account clients covering all aspects in the development and implementation of commercial and retail petroleum installations.

We currently have an opening in our Ontario (Stouffville) branch for an outside Sales Representative to service our ever-growing commercial market. The solution focus will be primarily in fleet fueling and dispensing systems providing next generation technology to industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow the business by working with management in the development and maintenance of sales/business plans by account, including identifying new prospects using multiple sources of sales leads
  • Ability to communicate and influence customers and decision makers in a complex competitive environment
  • Understand and provide commercial solutions based on individual customers, assessing all areas of ROI
  • Ability to manage multiple funnel customers to completion
  • Ability to understand the technologies in both our Commercial & Retail Petroleum products and clearly represent our value proposition
  • Territory responsibility will include travel

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2-3 years outside sales experience in the commercial fleet equipment an asset
  • Valid provincial driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree
  • Confidence and the ability to excel as a “Hunter”
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of the petroleum/construction industry would be an asset.
  • Post-Secondary education in Business or Technology is an asset
  • Bilingualism in French/English is an asset
