Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure Services, the Infrastructure Support Analyst provides the administration and support for BC Housing’s hybrid cloud infrastructure including infrastructure as a Service, Virtual server management and hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V), Storage systems, MS Windows and Red Hat/Oracle LINUX servers, data backup, Citrix remote access and VPN, Cisco voice and data networks, endpoint related infrastructure devices and services, including desktop, laptop, mobile, printing and associated devices and systems. Provides tier-2 help desk support for infrastructure issues and maintains the integrity of the Disaster Recovery site. The emphasis for this position will be for Windows Server, Exchange, VMware, and backups (currently Commvault), but other duties may be assigned as required.

The successful candidate must be a keen self-starter who works well with an established team, takes initiative in identifying problems and solutions, ensuring quality through planning and testing/validation.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The successful candidate will have the following:
QUALIFICATION:
Minimum of Five years’ experience in advanced level technical infrastructure positions with implementation, administration and configuration of all aspects of corporate technology environment
Plus, Two or more of the following Professional Certification(s) in good standing:
Citrix certification (CCA or CCAA)
Cisco certification (CCNP)
Microsoft MCSE or equivalent
VMWare certification (VCP or VCAP. VCP-DT an asset)
Degree or diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science from a recognized post-secondary institution

Or an equivalent combination education, training and experience acceptable to the employer.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrated advanced technical configuration, implementation, and support with the following technologies:
Microsoft operating systems, Exchange 2013/2016, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Active directory
Experience with enterprise backup solutions, Commvault preferred
VMware experience, preferably with vCenter 6.7 and ESXi 6.5
Hybrid Cloud, including Azure and Exchange Online
Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365), and SharePoint
PowerShell scripting experience
LAN/WAN Technologies, TCP/IP protocol
Red Hat/Oracle LINUX experience would be an asset
Citrix XenApp and/or NetScaler experience would be an asset
LANDesk experience would be an asset
Endpoint technologies including workstations, laptops and mobile devices
Server and LAN/WAN hardware, network administration
Excellent customer service skills.

Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Good knowledge and understanding of the Project Management framework
Good knowledge and awareness of new technology trends and opportunities
Physical ability to lift computer and other data center equipment

Ability to train others to take on duties while absent
Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
Ability to generate and articulate new ideas
Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to new technologies
Ability to create and update technical and training documentation
Ability to excel working under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities
